Passbolt browser extension 5.15.1 is a hotfix addressing tab crashes on Firefox ESR reported after the 5.15 release.
The autofill detection improvements in 5.15 extended the scan to more elements on the page to better detect credential fields on modern websites. This wider scope also covered components with almost no chance of containing credentials. On Firefox ESR, scanning these elements could trigger a browser bug that could crash the tab.
The detection scope has been reduced to focus on elements likely to contain credential fields, which resolves the crash and improves performance. Users on stable Firefox or other browsers were not affected.
