AWS AMI Delisted From Marketplace

Original Issue

Several of our AWS AMI products were temporarily delisted from the AWS Marketplace due to an administrative issue related to our seller account.

Current status

Our AWS Marketplace AMI product pages have been restored and are accessible via direct links. They are not yet discoverable via AWS Marketplace search results, as search indexing is still in progress.

Impact

Existing customers are unaffected. New customers may be unable to find our AMIs through search, but can access them using direct links.

Cause

This is due to an administrative issue related to our AWS Marketplace seller account.

Timeline

• Mon, Jan 12, 11:05 PM – Administrative issue led to temporary delisting of several AWS AMI products.
• Tue, Jan 13, 09:00 PM – Issue identified and the administrative requirements have been addressed in the AWS Marketplace Seller Portal.
• Tue, Jan 13, 09:20 PM – AWS Marketplace Support contacted to request reinstatement.
• Tue, Jan 13, 09:50 PM – AMI product pages restored and accessible via direct links. AWS Marketplace search listing update to be restored shortly after.

Lessons Learned

We will improve internal processes around vendor account administration to prevent similar issues in the future.
