Next steps
To reduce the risk of similar incidents in the future, we are taking the following actions:
- Improving our release process to reduce the likelihood of human error.
- Introducing dedicated download URLs, such as https://download.passbolt.com/extension/chrome instead of direct links to the store in the product.
- Setting up an unlisted Chrome extension as a backup, allowing us to redirect users to a fallback version if the primary listing becomes unavailable.
These measures will help us react faster and ensure continuity for new users in similar scenarios.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.
